About Dr. Mintz

Dr. Mintz is a licensed psychologist specializing in helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of life with more clarity, connection, and self-compassion. Her style is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. She offers a calm and supportive space where you can explore what’s working, what’s not, and what really matters to you. She has a special interest in supporting people through life transitions, identity shifts, and the everyday challenges of being a working parent or partner.

She earned her Masters degree in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon (UO), and earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology at the UO (APA accredited).

During her graduate studies, Dr. Mintz gained extensive training in several evidence-based therapy modalities, including Gottman Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Since 2015, she has provided clinical services to couples, families, groups, and individuals, in outpatient, college counseling, hospital, and research settings.

Dr. Mintz has taught undergraduate and graduate-level university courses, and has provided assessment and treatment supervision to doctoral-level practicum and extern students. She has provided clinical training and supervision in evidence-based family therapy to community mental health providers. She has contributed to research through conference presentations and publication of peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters on topics including family systems, parenting, and substance use treatment.
